Unlocking the Potential to Ignite the Future: Be Future Ready: Scott Tansley, Consulting Architect, Geoworx Ltd

Scott will share stories from his 20 years of GIS experience across UK and NZ Local and Central Government,  from two perspectives, inside and outside-in.

He is an advocate for data sharing and realising value for NZ  helping data work in a geospatial sense, while  protecting what needs to be protected.

Scott has applied thought-leadership in the following situations:

  •   "We've spoken to everyone and our GIS still doesn't work.  Help!"
  •    "I've just started as a GIS manager, and I'm not sure what I'm getting myself into"
  •    "I just want it to be fast and simple"

Each of these stories have needed an exploration of the past to understand the hindrances, and find a methodology of moving to a future-focused state.

Attend this session to hear how you can be future ready

We all come back together for the closing keynote of the day in the TSB Arena

Location: Plenary, TSB Arena

4.05pm

Closing keynote: Life in the ‘Well Lane’: Jacqui Maguire, Registered Clinical Psychologist and TV Presenter

For the past decade, personal and professional wellbeing has gained increasing momentum. Individuals,            employers, communities and governments have acknowledged the importance of and benefits from                prioritising mental health. As a result, public awareness on the topic has risen.

As we live our life in 2021, there are two important questions to ask:

  • Has increased awareness transferred into meaningful, positive change?
  • Does living during a prolonged global crisis impact how we effectively foster wellbeing?
In this keynote, clinical psychologist and science communicator Jacqui Maguire cuts through the noise to            provide an informative and practical discussion on the state of wellbeing in 2021. She’ll clarify what living a  ‘well’ life really means; how we can help ourselves and others navigate the stresses of uncertainty in order to flourish, and define what actually matters when it comes to organisational wellbeing.
