Recognition for excellence in GIS and IRM

The ALGIM Geographic Information Systems and Information and Records Management Awards recognise and celebrate best practice in GIS and IRM amongst New Zealand local authorities. They aim to encourage Local Government staff to be innovative and to grow and be recognised in supporting their organisation and communities of interest. They also promote the image of local government GIS and IRM throughout the wider sector.

The awards are:

  • GIS Project of the Year
  • IRM Project of the Year
  • GIS Professional of the Year
  • IRM Professional of the Year
  • GIS Team of the Year
  • IRM Team of the Year
  • GIS Training and Development (grant of up to $3,000 towards professional development)
  • IRM Training and Development (grant of up to $3,000 towards professional development)

This year’s awards will be held as part of the 2021 Annual Conference programme.

The 2021 Award guidelines and nomination requirements will be published here before April/May 2021.
