Reflecting on our 2025 Annual Conference at the Tākina Convention Centre, we are grateful to everyone who helped make the event a success.
Thank you to all our sponsors and exhibitors for your continued support. Under the theme “Beyond Boundaries”, we brought together 85 percent of New Zealand councils to encourage cross-organisation discussions and partnerships that deliver greater value to our communities.
It was also encouraging to see sponsors and exhibitors continuing these conversations, contributing to a stronger and more connected local government sector.
This year, we took a new approach with more workshops, panel discussions, and lightning talks, supported by world-class keynote speakers including Brett Johnson, Peter-Lucas Jones, and Dr Mahsa McCauley.
A key highlight was the ALGIM Awards and Gala Dinner, where we celebrated the exceptional achievements of our colleagues.
Congratulations to all nominees, finalists, and winners for showcasing outstanding mahi in Local Government Aotearoa New Zealand.
