Your attention is one of the most precious resources you have, and yet it’s getting highjacked constantly. The demands of modern-day life mean it’s getting harder and harder to focus. We often see this as a personal failure, beating ourselves up that we are easily distracted by our emails, phones and social media. Procrastinating and hopping around from one task to another and then feeling we have made no progress.

The good news is that much of this problem is not your fault – yet this is something you can do about it. In this session Lotty  will explain why we are living in the age of the ‘attention economy’, why multi-tasking is feeding the problem rather than solving it and how to build habits of attention so you can focus for longer and on what’s most important.

About the Presenter:

Lotty Roberts
Master in emotional culture
Consultant in mindful workplaces, leadership and change

Lotty is a forward thinker in the field of emotional culture, leadership and change, with over 20 years' experience leading and coaching people through large scale change and transformation programmes.

During her own leadership journey, Lotty discovered the power of mindfulness and emotional intelligence to help manage health challenges and corporate burnout. Through her own experience, learning and research into the wisdom of emotions and mindfulness-based practices as a way of attending to the ongoing challenges and constant change of working life, Lotty saw an opportunity to integrate these teachings into leadership, culture, resilience and change.

Lotty founded her business MiND.U to bring together her passion, hands-on experience and skills to integrate mindfulness, emotional intelligence and resilience techniques into the DNA of how organisations work, leaders lead and individuals roll. These practices can truly help people better understand themselves, perform at their best and navigate the ups, downs and inevitable curveballs of life.
