As we gear up for the 2025 ALGIM Annual Conference, scheduled for November 25-27 at the Tākina Conference Centre in Wellington, we are thrilled to share some exciting updates.

This year promises to be bigger than before…

Our 2025 theme focuses on “Collaborating Beyond Council Boundaries,” enabling us to foster discussions and partnerships delivering greater value to our communities by working together.

This year, our conference will have an educational focus and a new stream – Data and Insights which will encompass spatial data.

The 2025 ALGIM Awards are now open to New Zealand councils (including council-controlled organisation (CCO)).

We are introducing a new award in the ICT stream - ALGIM Excellence in IT Infrastructure (Network, Cloud & On Premise) Award to shine a light on the dedicated professionals who ensure our technological foundations are robust and effective.

We are introducing a financial prize of $1,000NZD to every Professional Excellence Team of the Year winner.
