2024 ALGIM Annual Conference

Six conferences in one event - parallel streams for ICT, web/digital/comms, customer experience, geospatial, Smart Communities and information management, all with the theme Driving Collaboration.

There will be specialist segments for each stream on:

  • Bridging the gap:AI collaboration between humans and technology

  • Empowering solutions: Harnessing collaboration for problem solving

  • Collaborative case studies in action

  • Collaborative standardisation:streamlining operations

In November, ALGIM will be holding our 2024 Annual Conference at Tākina Convention Centre in Wellington with the theme - Driving Collaboration. This is a unique opportunity to network with colleagues across NZ and Australia who are all working in the same sector. Many great connections are made during this event.

At our last conference November 2023, 88% of New Zealand councils sent delegates and we had a record 261 delegates attending and 100% satisfaction from those surveyed.

"This was the best conference I've been to - the programme was well thought out, the keynote speakers were inspiring and it was really well run. Loved having the coffee stand too thanks. Amazing venue and having the exhibitors centrally located, along with not having to go to different areas/levels of the venue for breakout sessions, made for such a good vibe throughout the whole conference. "

"Great work, ALGIM team. An incredible effort to deliver a monumental event. Keep up the awesome work."

"Was a wonderful jam packed conference."

The conference will include 60+ keynote presentations, case studies, panel discussions, annual awards, workshops, vendor exhibition, round table talks and everything you expect from an ALGIM Conference.  Presentations will include thought leadership, practical advice, motivation and innovation.

The conference will run over three days with the award dinner on the Wednesday night, networking drinks on the Tuesday night, workshops, user groups and special interest groups running on the Thursday.
